The Raw Revolution is on the Rise
Fresh, natural food is becoming more popular. "When I started out (12
years ago) there were two raw food restaurants in America; now there
are over 60," says David Wolfe, a prominent raw-foods promoter.
Not only is it fun and incredibly flavorful, it has the power to
reverse most if not all of our life-style-induced diseases such as
cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, and others.
Side-effects can include boundless energy, better sleep, and a general feeling of wellness.
However, you may feel worse before you feel better. With the great
nutrition you get from the fresh, natural foods, your body will take
the opportunity to clean up the stored toxins. If one transitions
quickly, toxins can build up in the bloodstream faster than the body
can get rid of them, and you may not feel good. Rest assured that the
body is REALLY cleansing and soon you will feel great! If you want to
reduce the detoxifying symptoms, you can transition more slowly.
Once you come out on the other side and begin to feel great, you'll
probably agree it's worth it! Raw foodists report improved energy,
greater mental clarity, return to ideal body weight, radiant skin, and
feeling vibrant and alive.
